Introduction:
Begin by saying, "When people are in conflict and are unable to understand how another person feels, it is difficult for them to deal with the problem. Today, we are going to practice role-playing both sides in a conflict situation. This should help us to better understand different points of view and to use the techniques we have already learned."
Activity:
1. Divide into groups.
2. Distribute one situation to each group.
3. Explain to the group that they will role-play their situation.
4. Allow five to ten minutes to plan.
5. Have each group role play its situation.
Summary:
"Role-playing is an excellent way of learning how other people feel in a conflict situation. What value does role-playing have in conflict resolution?"
