2. In small groups, students prioritize and provide justification for school supply materials (which of these 10 items are most important? least important?)
3. Student groups share group's list and justifications.
4. Small groups list strategies for remembering materials.
5. Small groups share their strategies.
6. Individually, students choose a strategy.
7. Over a certain period of time, students keep a log of how well/not so well they were prepared (materials-wise) for school.
8. Students evaluate if chosen strategy was effective and decide whether to keep same strategy or choose another one.
9. Repeat steps #7 and #8.
10. Determine which small group was consistently the most prepared.
11. As a final activity, small groups are assigned to bring snacks that requires several different items (banana splits, s'mores). Discuss how the snack will only be complete if each group member remembers his/her ingredient.
