Materials
Lesson Procedure Objective: To practice Multiplication facts (8's and 9's)

1) Student makes array on graph paper representing a fact for each of the combinations.
2) Give break time (five minutes).
3) On the number line, students circle the multiples of 8 with a colored pencil, then use a pencil of a different color to circle the multiples of nine, using subvocalization as they complete the task.
4) Help students see that using the number line and colored pencils shows the leaps from multiple to multiple.
