-In this lesson I speak to the children as a whole class about what I'm good at and let them think about what they are good at and share some of the ideas with the class. (just 3 or 4 children so they get the concept from me and their friends)
-Then they return to their tables and draw and try to write about what they are good at. At Kindergarten level I allow them to just draw pictures if they are not ready to write. So long as they stay on topic, it is all acceptable.
-At the end of this activity we return to our carpet as a group and share our writing--some with the whole class, others with just their writing partners.

Comments/Instructor's Note
This lesson worked well for us. It started the children on a positive note to think about themselves It made the children aware that everyone is different but that we are all good at something.
