This Privacy Policy describes the types of information
collected and the manner in which such information is collected and used by All
Kinds of Minds, its subsidiaries and affiliates (collectively, the “Institute”)
on www.allkindsofminds.org and www.schoolsattuned.org (the “Website”). The
Website enables users to explore the Institute’s resources and programs
intended to help students who are struggling to succeed in school.
The Institute acknowledges that the disclosure of personally identifiable
information (“PII”) is a sensitive and serious issue, and we consider it
imperative to protect the privacy of registrants of the Website (“Members”) and
its other users (“Users”). Therefore, the Institute will collect and use PII in
accordance with the terms of this Privacy Policy, and for the sole purpose of
enabling you to get the maximum benefit from the Website. Please keep in mind
that no PII collected from our Members or Users will ever be sold or leased to
any third party, except as set forth herein, without the prior consent of such
Member or User.
The Institute offers access to the Website to the general
public without the need to register as a Member. However, you must register as
a Member in order to gain access to certain features, which are unavailable to
Users. In order to register, you must provide certain PII such as your name,
street address, phone number, email address, job description, username, and
password. All PII which you provide through the Website will be stored on the
Institute’s servers.
2.1 Certain features of the Website enable Members and/or
Users to disclose, submit, publish, display, or otherwise transmit directly or
indirectly ("Post") on the Website messages, comments, reviews, listings,
submissions, or any other content (“Content”) that such User or Member wishes
to make available to others. Please keep in mind that all information you Post
to such areas of the Website is publicly viewable and is subject to our Terms
of Use Agreement located at
www.allkindsofminds.org/legal.aspx. Do not Post anything to the Website
that you do not want other people to see.
2.2 Members and Users also may submit PII to the Website by
conducting surveys and registering for conferences and special events. Such PII
will not be made publicly available through the Website, but will be used by
the Institute and third parties working on its behalf to fulfill your requests.
For instance, when you execute a purchase through the Website, your credit card
information will be shared with our merchant provider in order to complete your
transaction.
3.1 The Institute will not sell or lease your PII to third
parties without your express consent. We may, however share your PII with third
parties under certain circumstances, including:
a) if sharing your PII is necessary to execute a
specific request by you.
b) if sharing your PII is required by law or is
necessary to respond to a subpoena, warrant or court order, or to protect the
rights of the Institute or its Members and/or Users; and
c) if you give us express permission to share your PII
with third parties.
3.2 The Institute may share demographic information with
third parties on an anonymous and aggregated basis (i.e., without telling such
parties your identity), subject to this Privacy Policy. One of the reasons that
the Institute may do this is to improve the Website’s effectiveness.
You may occasionally see links on the Website to other
websites. The Institute is not responsible for the privacy practices of other
websites you may visit through a link found on the Website. If you provide
information directly to a party other than the Institute, please keep in mind
that different privacy policies may cover those parties' use of your
information. You should always review a website’s privacy policy before
disclosing your PII.
The Website may use cookies and web log files to track Member
usage on an anonymous and aggregated basis.
This Website is not intended for use by persons under
eighteen (18) years of age. If the Institute learns that a Member is under the
age of eighteen (18), appropriate steps will be taken to remove the Member's
PII from the database and restrict such individual’s access as a Member of the
Website.
The Institute has implemented security measures to protect
PII from loss, misuse and alteration. We use industry-standard practices such
as encrypted storage, firewalls and password protection systems to safeguard
the confidentiality of your PII. Your information is only available to those
employees of the Institute who need it to perform their responsibilities.
The success of the Institute is directly related to your
trust in our privacy practices. Although we encourage our Members and/or Users
to share information to get the most benefit from the Website, we provide you
with the opportunity of benefiting from many of the Website’s features without
having to submit any PII. Although we provide powerful tools for you to share
information, remember it is always your choice whether or not to share certain
information with other Members or the general public. Members can update or
otherwise change their PII posted on the “Registration” page and change sign-up
preferences (whether or not to receive an e-mail newsletter or be part of a
mailing list, etc.) by accessing the “My Information” page.
The Institute may update this Privacy Policy at any time. The
latest version of the Privacy Policy will always be available at
www.allkindofminds.org/legal.aspx. Please check this page occasionally to make
sure you are aware of any updates. Questions regarding this privacy policy
should be sent to mail@allkindsofminds.org.
